Snap-on has announced the release of the new 13.2 software download for its best selling ‘family’ of hand-held diagnostic tools, bringing the total coverage available to over 250,000 vehicle systems.
13.2 is particularly significant as it sees Subaru added, with comprehensive coverage of all popular models. This brings the number of manufacturer titles covered to 30. The new 13.2 software now covers some of the newest vehicles on the market, giving full coverage from 2011 of 29 manufacturers, 14 of the manufacturers covered also include 2012 coverage.
Two major new manufacturers have been added to the 13.2 software Component Test Meter (CTM) coverage – Jaguar and Volvo. This means that with Snap-on’s higher end diagnostic tools the testing power is increased dramatically on two major manufacturers.
13.2 also provides updated information in Troubleshooter for Ford and Renault, ensuring that the technician has all the help needed to be able to make the right decisions. In addition, 13.2 adds a massive 680 new wiring diagrams over all manufacturers to repair information.
“Our 13.2 coverage really emphasises the wealth of information now immediately available at the mechanic’s fingertips,” says Aldo Rodi, UK Managing Director of Snap-on Tools. “The new total software package ensures that the mechanic can work on more cars than ever before and highlights just how much diagnostics is an everyday feature for all workshops.
“With each new software release we add exactly what our customers have asked for based on regular feedback and our applications development is without doubt the best in the business. Our 13.2 software now covers 98% of the UK vehicle parc and highlights just how important it is to keep your diagnostic tool up to date. In fact, since our last software update just over six months ago more than 30,000 new vehicle systems have been added. And since our 12.2 software release just under a year ago, a huge 6172 new vehicles and 62,000 vehicle systems have been added.
“We also offer a subscription plan designed to spread the cost, making it easy and affordable to ensure that the mechanic automatically has access to the latest technology whenever a new software update is released.
“The new 13.2 release is available for all models in our extensive best-selling Snap-on ‘family’ of hand-held diagnostic tools.”
