Fast-fit tyre and automotive chain ATS Euromaster has been awarded coveted supplier status to public sector organisations across the UK, as part of a multi-brand tyre supply deal on the UK Government Procurement Service framework agreement RM955.
For the next four years ATS Euromaster is able to supply a full range of car, van, 4×4, truck and agricultural tyres, from premium to budget fitments, to every public sector organisation across the UK, including the nation’s fire engines, ambulances, prison vehicles and local authorities
Prior to this new procurement framework agreement, ATS Euromaster was a nominated service partner on the original UK-government tyre-sourcing initiative which was first established by the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA) and later led by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC). This was set-up in 2007 and was available to all public sector organisations across the UK.
The framework has a number of suppliers in each lot, meaning public sector organisations will be able to choose from approved suppliers for their tyre requirements.
With more than 1,800 service centres, ATS Euromaster is the largest comprehensive UK tyre distributor supplying tyres for everything from cars and vans to trucks, coaches, forklifts, agricultural tractors and even construction plant.
“We believe that ATS Euromaster offers the taxpayer the best value for money in tyre supply to keep crucial public sector vehicles on the move,” says Peter Fairlie, Group Sales Director at ATS Euromaster. “In an era of austerity we’re particularly proud to have been appointed to this framework agreement.”
- North of the Border, the Scottish Government issues central government tenders for automotive vehicles (cars, trucks, buses and vans), parts, maintenance and repair contracts via its single public procurement website. Scottish local authorities can make use of this site – but are not presently required to do so. Scots Auto Scene – alongside our sister publication for the fleet and commercial transport sector, FACTS – has launched a campaign to channel both local and central government public sector automotive tenders through a single site. We are working in partnership with the Federation of Small Business (FSB) for a one-stop-procurement-portal to be included in the Scottish Government’s new Procurement Reform Bill, announced in Holyrood earlier this week by First Minister Alex Salmond.
