Open day at Thatcham apprentice academy

To mark National Apprentice Week in 2012, Thatcham are opening the doors of their state of the art Apprentice Academy on February 8 to all employers who have ever considered taking on an apprentice. This is an informal day where, following a short welcome and a look at some real life case studies from major employers, guests will be invited to look around the Thatcham Academy facilities at their own leisure.

Apprentice tuition is fully funded at Thatcham, meaning that employers can access £17,877 worth of funding to pay tuition fees for the duration of the apprenticeship, even if they are 19+. The Thatcham apprentice team will be on hand to explain how to access the funding and to answer any other questions. With an optional tour of the rest of Thatcham’s research facilities, visitors will leave with a full understanding of the benefits of taking on an apprentice and why Thatcham’s block release Apprentice Programme is the primary choice for employers nationwide.

An increasing number of young school leavers are now choosing a vocational career – the Thatcham team will demonstrate how to tap into this potential and to ensure your business has a steady flow of talent, now and into the future.
